Discover the wines from our Beaujolais winery

Located in Blacé in the heart of the Beaujolais region, just a few minutes from Villefranche-sur-Saône, Château de Champ Renard is surrounded by 7.5 hectares of vineyards facing south and southeast, planted on siliceous and granitic soils, as well as clay-limestone soils, which give our wines their distinctive character.

Owners of the château since 2014 and passionate about their work as winemakers, Fabienne Vilain and Denis Garnier have decided to carry on the tradition of their Beaujolais estate, which has been producing wine since 1765. In 2020, Champ Renard produced more than 20,000 bottles, sold primarily at the winery and online.

hand-harvested

“Committed to both the quality of our wines and the environment, we apply the principles of sustainable viticulture in our Beaujolais vineyard and prioritize a winemaking process that is as natural as possible. Our estate is currently in the process of converting to organic farming. We also hold Terra Vitis and HVE3 certifications, which guarantee the protection of natural resources, respect for biodiversity, and the health of our customers and employees.”

The grapes are harvested by hand when ripe, and the winemaking process is carried out without chaptalization or added sulfites, in concrete and stainless steel tanks or oak barrels. Some vintages are very lightly sulfited at bottling. All of our wines are also certified vegan.
