How did the Champ-Renard estate come to be?
A true icon of the Beaujolais region, the château has weathered many ups and downs since its construction in the13th century. Having served in turn as a fortified house, a judicial estate, and a residence, Champ-Renard is now a winery and an exceptional event venue. This new lease on life is thanks to the determination and passion of Fabienne Vilain and Denis Garnier, who purchased the property in 2014 and completely restored it.
Today, Champ-Renard is a renowned estate with 7.5 hectares of vineyards in the process of converting to organic farming. The estate also serves as a wedding venue, offering a unique and immersive experience.
What sets our reception venue in the heart of the vineyards apart?
Château de Champ-Renard stands in the heart of a tastefully landscaped park spanning more than one hectare. The English-style garden borders the bamboo forest, the rock bridge spans the artificial river, and the giant sequoia towers over the hornbeam-lined path… This idyllic setting can host a secular ceremony if you wish.
At the foot of the castle, a spacious esplanade connects the park to the reception halls. It is ideal for hosting a reception or taking group photos, among other things.
Inside the building, several spaces await you. The Salle de Garde, with its vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the park, can accommodate 180 guests for a seated dinner or 250 guests for a cocktail reception. The adjoining Salle de Justice is ideal for a dance party, breakfast, or brunch the following day. As for the upstairs lounges, they can be reserved exclusively for wedding preparations. Their 230 m² provide a serene setting for moments of calm and privacy.
The various spaces offer a cohesive layout and a smooth flow, making it easy to organize your wedding at the château nestled among the vineyards. In addition, there are two luxury apartments available to accommodate up to 12 guests on-site. The estate can be fully privatized for an exceptional and immersive experience.
