Arrival of the guests and preparations by the bride and groom

The entrance to Champ-Renard is through the large gate next to the vineyards that surround the château. Guests walk along the century-old arbor-lined path to reach our Beaujolais château and its grounds.

While you wait for your guests to arrive, you can—upon request—get ready in complete comfort in our intimate and refined lounges, where antiques are displayed alongside pieces by renowned contemporary designers. The bride gets dressed with her bridesmaids and settles into the sofa to have her makeup done, while the groom gets ready in the billiards room or the library, and the photographer captures the final moments before the ceremony.

Our various studios can accommodate up to 16 people, including the photography and makeup team.

An unforgettable wedding ceremony at our castle near Lyon

Depending on the weather, the season, and your preferences, there are several options available for your wedding ceremony at our castle: you can say “I do” in the shade of the Charmilles or in our elegant wedding chapel on the garden level.

Our arbour creates a magical atmosphere for a fairytale wedding. This wide, long path is lined on both sides by century-old trees and offers a stunning natural setting for a non-religious ceremony. Didn’t Baudelaire write that “nature is a temple” where trees are “living pillars”?

Our high-ceilinged ceremony hall offers you a sleek and bright space to exchange your vows.

The photo shoot and the reception

The outdoor spaces play a vital role when you want to reserve an estate exclusively for a wedding. The château’s esplanade offers the perfect setting for group photos, thanks to its large paved area facing the park. You can then pose for your romantic wedding photos in our 19th-century English-style park, where your guests are free to stroll at their leisure.

With its rock bridge, artificial river, bamboo forest, and giant sequoia, this is a truly romantic setting where you can pose for unforgettable photos.

The reception can also be held on the esplanade or in the arbor-lined path. A tent can be set up as an option.

Dinner and the dance

By renting the Château de Champ-Renard, you’ll have not one, but two reception halls for your wedding in the Rhône region.

Also located on the garden level, the Salle de Garde offers an authentic and elegant setting for your dinner, with its vaulted ceiling, exposed stone walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a view of our oak barrels. It can accommodate up to 180 seated guests. The adjacent former medieval tower, which opens directly onto the room, offers an intimate space that you can use as you see fit—for example, to host a guestbook signing.

For your dance party, head over to the Salle de Justice right next door. There, you can set up the sound system and enjoy the bar—made of granite and elm wood—and its designer chairs. You can also use the screen and projector to show movies and photos.

When night falls, the castle’s facade lights up, creating a magical atmosphere. It’s the perfect opportunity to slip away for a few moments to have a drink on the esplanade or chat while your loved ones let loose on the dance floor.

What better way to recover from all the excitement than to host a brunch the next day with your loved ones?

To that end, there are several options available to you, depending on the weather and the number of people attending: the Salle de Justice, the castle esplanade, etc.
