Located in Blacé, in the heart of the Beaujolais region, 35 minutes from Lyon, the Château de Champ-Renard offers newlyweds an exceptional setting.

Built during the feudal period in the 13th century, our castle has retained all of its historical richness through successive restorations: its medieval tower, its 15th-century structures, and its neo-Gothic elements make it a residence of incomparable charm.

Surrounded by 7.5 hectares of vineyards, the estate produces its own wines on site, which we can offer you for your reception or dinner.

The Champ-Renard estate offers you the unique opportunity to enjoy exclusive use of the venue from Saturday through Sunday. You can arrive the day before at 2:00 p.m. to set up your decorations. This ensures you’ll have complete privacy.

An authentic estate with a unique character

A venue for weddings, family gatherings, and seminars in the Lyon area—as well as a family home—the Château de Champ-Renard features two large reception halls on the garden level, as well as private lounges that provide a cozy, boudoir-like setting for the bride and groom to get ready.

The Salle de Garde can accommodate up to 180 guests for a seated dinner. This vaulted reception hall, featuring exposed stone, hardwood floors, and polished concrete, opens directly onto the park. With its sophisticated lighting, floor-to-ceiling windows, and view of our oak barrels, it is a warm and inviting space with undeniable elegance. The adjoining Salle de Justice is ideal for your dance party or cocktail reception.

After all, what could be more romantic than exchanging vows in the midst of a century-old arbor? This long, tree-lined path leading directly to the castle is the perfect setting for a secular ceremony when the warm weather arrives.

The bride and groom can then take their photos as they stroll through our magnificent 19th-century English-style garden: the rock garden bridge, the artificial stream, and the giant sequoia create a magical, timeless atmosphere, while offering guests plenty of space to stroll and chat quietly outdoors.

They’ll find the perfect solution to satisfy all your culinary desires for the cocktail hour, dinner, or even brunch the next day.

On Sundays, we’ll also be able to offer you a historical tour of the castle and a wine-tasting workshop led by your hosts themselves.

Finally, regarding accommodations, the château’s two charming apartments—the Paradis Apartment and the Cocher Apartment—can accommodate up to 12 people. We can also recommend our partner hotels, located just a few minutes from our estate.
