Château de Champ-Renard offers more than 7 hectares of unspoiled nature and a historic site with incomparable charm—the perfect setting for your wedding. Located about 35 minutes from Lyon and just 15 minutes from Villefranche-sur-Saône, the estate enjoys an ideal location in Blacé, in the Beaujolais region. Set in a lush green setting, the Château—built in the 13th century and transformed over the centuries—has since undergone careful renovations. It remains, however, a place steeped in history… and romance.
The arbour-lined path and the vineyard surrounding the château contribute greatly to the beauty of the location. The building’s circular tower (the only remnant from the medieval period) and the preserved elements from the 15th- and 19th-century renovations bear witness to Champ-Renard’s long history. There are also many charming villages nearby. There are plenty of outdoor activities and nature walks to enhance your wedding, whether it lasts one or two days. Finally, there is an English-style park featuring a rock-filled bridge and a very romantic artificial stream.
All renovations carried out in recent years at the Champ-Renard estate have been designed with environmental responsibility in mind. A vineyard in the process of converting to organic farming, gardens that preserve biodiversity, century-old arbors… The estate’s values are evident in its surroundings, which are maintained with the utmost care.
Inside, the decorative furnishings are antique finds, and waste from private or professional events is kept to a minimum. Our two reception rooms on the garden level (including the Salle de Garde with its vaulted ceiling, stonework, wood paneling, and oak barrels) can host your dinner reception, buffet, and/or dance party.
