Built in the Middle Ages, the Château de Champ-Renard underwent numerous renovations before becoming what it is today. The imposing façade overlooks an English-style park covering nearly two hectares, all situated in the heart of the estate’s seven hectares of vineyards.

Champ-Renard is ideally located 15 minutes from Villefranche-sur-Saône and less than three-quarters of an hour from Lyon. Built 8 centuries ago, our château in the Rhône region is now a winery, but also an ideal starting point for exploring the Beaujolais region.
With a rich history—the château has served in turn as a fortified house, a seat of local justice, and a wine estate—Champ-Renard has once again turned its focus to the vineyards, which are managed in an eco-friendly manner by the current owners. Since 2014, Fabienne Vilain and Denis Garnier have jointly managed both the winery and the venue’s event offerings. The château can be fully reserved for private family or corporate celebrations in the Rhône region.
Fully restored in keeping with the spirit of the original building, the castle offers a total of more than 500 m² of space dedicated to events. The Guard Room, which overlooks the former medieval tower, is now a spacious, versatile, and fully equipped reception hall. The Courtroom provides an additional, adjoining space. These are complemented by several intimate private lounges upstairs, as well as a superb gallery.
Outside, the stunning landscaped grounds feature century-old trees, a bamboo grove, and a charming stone bridge spanning an artificial stream. This setting is perfect for hosting a garden party or a cocktail reception. Finally, the vineyards surrounding the property provide an exquisite setting for our prestigious estate near Lyon.
The castle also features two charming suites that can accommodate up to twelve guests in a unique setting.
