With its 1.6-hectare English-style garden, two large reception halls, and lounges that can be reserved for private use, our estate stands out for its character and elegance and can comfortably accommodate up to 180 guests.

We’ll be there for you, from the planning stage through the entire weekend, to make your wedding an unforgettable experience.

A Fairytale Castle for Your Wedding Near Lyon

Built in the 13th century, Champ-Renard is a castle in the Beaujolais region located in Blacé, a village with just 2,000 residents. Our estate offers access to two large wedding halls, as well as our grounds and our century-old hornbeam-lined path, which can serve as the setting for your non-religious ceremony or your reception.

You’ll have exclusive use of the venue from Friday through Sunday, allowing you to celebrate your special day in complete privacy, in a place steeped in history, with an atmosphere straight out of a modern-day fairy tale.

Renovated over the centuries while preserving its historic character, our castle features an authentic medieval tower, as well as mullioned and pointed-arch windows characteristic of the Neo-Gothic style, and a romantic park with a giant sequoia, a rock-work bridge, and an artificial stream. At nightfall, the facade lights up and remains illuminated all night long, allowing you to fully enjoy the magical atmosphere of the place.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding in a natural setting, our Charmille is the perfect place to exchange your vows! This grand avenue, lined with century-old trees and leading to the park from the estate’s entrance, will lend a magical touch to both your ceremony and your wedding photos. It’s also perfect for hosting a reception for up to 250 guests.

By booking our château exclusively for your wedding in the Rhône region, you’ll have the unique opportunity to enjoy exclusive use of a vineyard estate that embodies the charm of the French way of life for an entire weekend, and to be welcomed and served by an attentive staff.

Depending on your preferences, we’ll assist you with your preparations and connect you with our partner caterers to plan your cocktail reception, dinner, or brunch. We can also offer you the château’s wines or organize a wine-tasting workshop on Sunday. You’re welcome to come set up your decorations on Friday starting at 2 p.m. if you’d like.

Our two large wedding reception halls are fully equipped to meet your needs: tables, chairs, a bar, a screen, a projector, and more. We’ll tailor our services to your requirements and the number of guests.

The Salle de Garde can accommodate up to 180 guests for dinner. With its exposed stone vaults, hardwood floors and polished concrete, sophisticated lighting, and view of our oak barrels, it is an authentic and refined venue. The medieval tower, which opens directly onto the hall, creates an intimate space—ideal for displaying the guest book for guests to sign.

The adjoining Justice Hall can host your dance party, as well as the reception or Sunday buffet in case of bad weather. A large screen will allow you to display surprise photos and videos prepared by the guests.

Accommodations are available in our two charming apartments (four double bedrooms that can accommodate up to 12 people), as well as at the hotel and bed-and-breakfasts located 5–10 minutes away by car.

Finally, the château’s private salons can be reserved for exclusive use, allowing the bride and groom to get ready in a boudoir-style setting: with their décor blending works of art, antiques, and designer furniture, these charmingly elegant rooms can accommodate up to 16 people, including makeup, hair, and photography teams.
