The Château de Champ-Renard welcom
s you to its banquet halls near Lyon

Nestled in the heart of the village of Blacé and surrounded by the estate’s vineyards, just 15 minutes from the Villefranche-sur-Saône SNCF train station and 30 minutes from Lyon, the Château de Champ-Renard has weathered eight centuries of history, as its architecture still attests.

The medieval tower, which now opens onto the Guard Room, still stands from the original structure. The rest of the buildings date from the 15th century, while the 19th century left its neo-Gothic mark on the mullioned and ogival windows. Successive renovations (the most recent of which took place in 2021) have modernized the estate and provided it with all the necessary comforts, while preserving its historic and authentic character.

As you push open the gate, you’ll walk up our long, century-old arbour-lined path, which leads to our magnificent 1.6-hectare English-style park. With its artificial stream, rock bridge, bamboo grove, and giant sequoia, it is an inspiring place, perfect for strolls and relaxation.

Designed in the style of a private mansion, the château has retained the atmosphere of grand family gatherings, and its various reception rooms offer an ambiance that is both intimate and refined, allowing you to add a touch of elegance to your events.

Whether it’s the Guard Room and the Courtroom on the garden level or the living rooms upstairs, every space is bathed in natural light and has been designed as a living space to encourage interaction and a sense of community. Each one is tastefully decorated and equipped to make you feel right at home.
