A magical setting for your wedding near Lyon

Located in Blacé, just 35 minutes from the Lyon TGV station and 50 minutes from Saint-Exupéry Airport, the Château de Champ-Renard has a history spanning eight centuries. Once the home of the Lords of Beaujeu and the Marquis d’Espinay de Laye—who transformed the estate into a winery in 1765—Champ-Renard has undergone successive renovations that have only added to its charm.

Although the moat and the drawbridge have long since disappeared, the medieval tower now opens onto our grand reception hall, creating an intimate space that’s ideal for setting up a boudoir or placing your guestbook. The 19th century left its neo-Gothic mark on the château, enhancing its romantic character: the mullioned and pointed-arch windows, along with the English-style park featuring its charming rockery bridge, artificial stream, and bamboo grove, immediately transport visitors into a timeless world, somewhere between a fairy tale and a Jane Austen novel.

Inside, our banquet halls and private lounges have been modernized in a sleek, contemporary chic style, while taking care to preserve the authentic character that gives the venue its soul.

By reserving our estate in the Beaujolais region exclusively for your wedding, you’ll enjoy the venue all to yourselves for an intimate celebration. Welcomed and attended to by a dedicated team that will ensure everything runs smoothly, you’ll quickly feel right at home.

We can accommodate up to 300 guests outdoors at our château for your wedding near Lyon, and up to 250 for a cocktail reception in our large reception hall, the Salle de Garde. You can hold a non-religious ceremony in our century-old Charmille arbor and host a reception on the esplanade.

Rent our castle exclusively for your wedding and enjoy top-notch service

You can rent out our château in the Beaujolais region for a wedding any time of the year—on weekends, but also on weekdays if you’d like.

If you’re planning to get married on a Saturday, you can use the venue from 10 a.m. on Saturday until 6 p.m. on Sunday. You can also come set up your decorations the day before, starting at 2 p.m.

The Garden-Level Banquet Hall can accommodate up to 180 guests for a sit-down dinner and up to 200 for a cocktail reception.

The Salle de Justice is the perfect venue for your dance party or cocktail reception. In case of inclement weather, it can also accommodate all of your guests for the reception thanks to its extension under the balcony’s spacious awning.
