How can you celebrate your birthday at a castle near Lyon?
Once a medieval castle, now a winery and event venue, Champ-Renard offers birthday party venues for rent, complete with accommodations. Nestled among the vineyards and surrounded by a beautiful landscaped park, the château features beautifully restored and fully equipped interior spaces.
The estate is perfect for whatever you have in mind: hosting a daytime garden party in the English-style park, serving cocktails on the castle’s esplanade, or hosting a buffet or birthday dinner in one of the rooms, followed by a dance party…

Can we celebrate a birthday at the castle and stay overnight there?
If you’re planning a casual get-together, it might be a good idea to arrange for on-site accommodations for the most die-hard partygoers! Château de Champ-Renard offers both venue rental and on-site accommodations. In a prestigious setting, two superb, fully equipped apartments await you, with a total capacity of twelve guests. A suite in the château with a view of the park consists of two bedrooms (one 160-cm double bed and two single beds). Access to the park allows you to enjoy special moments before or after your birthday party.
What services does Champ-Renard offer to help you plan your birthday party?
To accommodate your preferences and budget, we offer two options: renting the reception hall only, or full-service planning of your birthday party.
Our banquet halls can be adapted to accommodate groups of any size. On the garden level, the sumptuous Salle de Garde and the adjoining tower can seat 180 guests and accommodate up to 250 people standing. The Salle de Justice, though more modest in size, still offers seating for 70 and accommodates 140 in a cocktail reception layout. As for the outdoor spaces, the Allée des Charmilles and the Esplanade can accommodate up to 250 guests for a cocktail reception, for example.
When it comes to entertainment, we have a list of professionals who can host your event. You can enjoy the two pétanque courts in the shade of the cedar trees. Children’s games can be provided during the festivities.
No matter when your birthday is or how you plan to celebrate it, the Château de Champ-Renard is the perfect venue! The estate’s team goes above and beyond to ensure you have an unforgettable experience in an authentic Rhône castle, less than an hour from Lyon.
