Who hasn’t dreamed of living the high life? With the charming apartments at Champ-Renard, it’s possible!

The estate’s team looks forward to giving you a warm welcome for a stay filled with relaxation, the art of living, and new discoveries.

Built in the 13th century during the height of the Middle Ages, the Château de Champ-Renard became a winery in 1765 under the leadership of its owner at the time, the Marquis d’Espinay-de-Laye, who invited the future U.S. President Thomas Jefferson—then serving as ambassador—to visit. After several years of inactivity, the château resumed wine production in 2014 when it was purchased by a couple of entrepreneurs from Lyon, Fabienne Vilain and Denis Garnier, who restructured the vineyard and carried out extensive renovations to accommodate events and tourists visiting the region.

The various renovations carried out over the centuries have preserved Champ-Renard’s charm and historic character. Even today, visitors can admire the medieval tower overlooking the largest reception hall, as well as the mullioned and pointed-arch windows—a legacy of the 19th-century renovation that lends the property a romantic atmosphere.
